Does Your Child See Sparkles? Guiding Kids with Psychic Gifts

thirdeyeSo— I begin writing this new book about children that see sparkles, about kids that are highly empathic, and families that are having paranormal experiences. Where to begin?

Over the past three years or so, I have been saught-out (is saught a word?) by parents that are totally confused, afraid, worried, and do not have a clue as to what they should think or do with these psychic experiences happening in their families. Some have at least one child that sees ghosts — all the time. Some have kids that have prophetic dreams about family members and friends dying. Some have small children that keep seeing sparkley lights and try to catch them by jumping up in the air, and telling everyone about it.

What in the world is going on? I’m sure you have asked yourself that more than once. You are not alone. There are many other parents (and teachers, and guardians) with children who have had some kind of paranormal experience.

So — I am writing a book about it. And I am inviting you to leave your comments here on this blog to help me include things that need to be in it. Does your family have paranormal situations happening? Have you found a good way to handle it and help your child? Do you have any thoughts or experiences that should be important — maybe something that I haven’t addressed in other blog articles? Please share them in this blog comment areas below the article. When you leave the comment be sure to include your permission in using the content in the book. I will never use real names. The circumstances may even be changed to protect those involved.

So many changes are happening now, and we will look at many of these things so you will be more confident in working with your child in a meaningful way.

When children see ghosts, what’s a parent to do?

Is my child destined to be haunted for life?

Does my child need psychological help, or some kind of medications?

Should I believe what my child reports even if I don’t believe in ghosts?

Parents can feel all emotions from being paralyzed with fear, to being curious and supportive. If their children are scared by encounters with the spirit world, parents naturally fret about how to best help their kids through this fear. This may be a challenge since fear can be so intense that it causes the child – and sometimes the parent, too – to become physically sick from it.

If, on the other hand, the child feels open and comfortably connected to the world of ghosts, parents may feel less apprehensive. Either way, parents are sure to be baffled about how to proceed.

This information is put together first because people have sought me out for answers. Many of those answers I did not know at the time. So I went on a quest to find the answers. I consulted my own spirit guides and teachers for understanding to share.

The book is a kind of primer for paranormal understanding. But know that as many kids as there are that have psychic experiences, each one will be different, with specific symptoms and characteristics. Each symptom or characteristic may need a specialized approach depending on the child involved.

Each child is raised in a certain family, with genetic history, cultural differences, and social backgrounds. So the approach to their experiences will be different. But this book addresses generalities that will help you decide what is best for your family.

These are just a few of the things that will be covered in the book. I’ll be writing more articles here to share the journey, and some of the expereinces that my clients have had. This is your book. So I want to share as much of the preparation and writing as I can. It will be an ongoing account and recording of this text.

I might add, that if you are interested in such things, you can prepare for the release of this book by reading my recent book Psychic Integrity, The Respected Practice of Modern Day Mystics. Thanks!

Surviving Death: Is There Really Life After Death?

Do you believe there is life after death? Or do you believe that once your body dies, that’s all there is?

There have been way too many historical and antidotal experiences to deny death survival. But that is what this documentary is all about: The Debate.

BJ Barretta, producer and filmmaker, has put this age-old discussion into documentary format. And let me tell you… he has brought all the heavy hitters in for the discussion! “Surviving Death: A Paranormal Debate” includes British paranormal guru and ghosthunter Richard Felix, psychic medium Michael Tottey, the guys on The PSI Show, including Dan Sturges, Loyd Auerbach, parapsychologist and professor at Atlantic University, and The Reverend Father Jerry Wooton (Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Gainesville, VA). What a lineup!

Paranormal experiences are explored from scientific, parapsychological, theological, and entertainment points of view. Soooo…….

Why not join the conversation???!! I already have!

There is a Discussion Forum on the main website: Surviving Death: A Paranormal Debate Just click on the link and scroll to the bottom of the page. There are several topics listed and I am sure you’ll enjoy the lively discussion!

Being a psychic medium, I have my own point of view. And I have evidence that no one can talk me out of. What about you?

“I Ain’t Afraid of No Ghosts!” Ghostbusters and Dan Aykroyd

 Guess what? There are whispers of a new Ghostbuster movie, and it looks as if it is in the works. But somehow is taking longer than usual. Not sure why, but maybe producer/director conflicts.

Dan Aykroyd announced a few months into 2012 that Bill Murray was not going to appear in Ghostbusters III, and at this point the film had been indefinitely suspended. Harold Ramis (who is part of the writing team with Gene Stupnitsky and Lee Eisenberg) said that the four main cast members from the original film may have minor on-screen roles: “The concept is that the old Ghostbusters would appear in the film in some mentor capacity”. Aykroyd said Ivan Reitman and Harold Ramis felt there had to be a way to do it without Murray.

Aykroyd’s comments about Murray leaving were that Stupnitsky and Eisenberg “wrote Bill the comic role of a lifetime, and the new Ghostbusters and the old are all well represented in it”; they wrote a “strong first draft”. In February 2012, Aykroyd said “The script must be perfect. We cannot release a film that is any less than that. We have more work to do.”

Dan Aykroyd originally created the role of Dr. Peter Venkman (Ghostbusters 1984) with John Belushi in mind, but had to rewrite the part for Bill Murray after Belushi died. So that particular role has had a certain “strange energy” about it from the beginning.

One of the best parts of the movie is the representation of ectoplasm (the special energy used by spirits and ghosts to manifest themselves). It is represented by animated slim in different parts of the film. The green ghost (Slimer) is affectionately referred to as the ghost of John Belushi. Aykroyd grew up in a spiritualist household and was able to represent many true-to-life aspects of ghosts and the spirit world.

Alas, as of February 2012, a third feature film of Ghostbusters remains in what is known as “development hell”. Development hell refers to a period of time during that this film is trapped in development. A film takes an especially long time to start production, or never does.

Since the first movie was released on June 8, 1984 and made $238,632,124 just in the United States, and the American Film Institute ranked Ghostbusters 28th in its AFI’s 100 Years…100 Laughs list of film comedies, we know that it would be a mistake NOT to finish the third chapter in the Ghostbuster saga! In this case, we must assume that Ghostbusters III will be done just on time!

For those interested in Dan Aykroyd’s family history, you may want to check out his father’s book:

A History of Ghosts:The True Story of Séances, Mediums, Ghosts, and Ghostbusters,  http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005CDUNKW/ref=as_li_qf_sp_asin_tl?ie=UTF8&tag=123spiritualg-20&linkCode=as2&camp=1789&creative=9325&creativeASIN=B005CDUNKW  2009 by Peter Aykroyd. This book chronicled the family’s historical involvement in the Spiritualist Movement. Dan Aykroyd wrote the introduction and accompanied his father on a series of promotional activities. Aykroyd also read the introduction for the audio version of the book.

Blessings to you until my next post!

Comment of the Day: “‘Who Ya Gonna Call?’” Paranormal Ethics, and the Irony of Same”

See on Scoop.itEnlightening Spirits and Psychic Exploration Salon

This is an interesting response to my post on Skeptic Alarms Blog a few months ago.

Fellow blogger, Jack Marshall, ethicist and lawyer, had been discussing Ghostbusting and hauntings as being untrue, and I chimed in with my typical information about integrity, especially in regards to those who are ghostbusters and dealing with the earthbounds spirits.

In his response to the original post, he was very happy to hear from me, and the other side of the coin, so to speak. He saw that not all psychic mediums appeared to be frauds, and it was refreshing to him.

He actually stood back to survey his opinion of the matter, and I appreciated that.

So he posted another blog article a few weeks later (that I did not know about at the time) addressing the fact that because I had shared my thoughts, it gave him pause to reconsider his skepticism.

His article was refreshing to me to see that a skeptic would at least reconsider this thoughts. But some of the other responses from this readership were less polite about it. I guess there are hard core skepics just as in any field.

One person even invited me to take James Randi’s Educational Foundations Million Dollar Challenge to prove I am a psychic. Wow… what do you think? Should I do it?

Naw… I don’t have to prove anything to anyone. And I am not trying to persuade anyone about my “powers”. That had nothing to do with the post and article I am referencing. I know who I am. That’s all that is important to me.

Check out his blog at   http://ethicsalarms.com/2012/02/13/comment-of-the-day-who-ya-gonna-call-paranormal-ethics-and-the-irony-of-same/ and see what you think. Add some comments if you are so inspired! I know Mr. Marshall will enjoy hearing from you.

“Paranormal phenomena is nonsense, and thus ethical standards for it are an oxymoron. Unless, of course, I’m wrong.”

Blessings until next time! …M

Ghosts and Spirits: What’s the Difference?

After being a spirit medium for over 30 years, I’ve had a chance to understand the process of spirit leaving the body at death. Some think this is scary and paranormal, but there could be nothing more normal than our true story as Spirits being Humans.

The fact that I can communicate with the spirits might be strange and spooky to some people. But when you have a loved one that has passed away, you want to know if they are alright. So, who you gonna call?

I’ll be giving a lecture Sharonville Ohio Convention Center at the Victory of Light Expo[ http://www.victoryoflight.com] this weekend. [Saturday and Sunday, April 21-22, 2012]. My lecture is called Discarnetes, Ghosts and Hauntings . It is on Sunday at 2:00pm in Room B. The last time I gave this lecture, I had a really excited group of attendees (75-80). They were all sitting on the edge of their chairs, and were full of questions too!

Here’s just a short sample of what I’ll be speaking about this weekend:

Spirits are our loved ones or other beings that have lived on the earth, but are now in the spirit world. They have gone through the entire process of evolving into what we understand as full transformation.

A ghost, on the other hand, is a lost spirit that has not fully embraced the transformation into the spirit world. It remains attached to earthly things or people in an attempt to re-assimilate.

Earthbound spirits are believed to be the spirits of deceased people who remain tied to the earth for a variety of reasons. Religious sects claim that all spirits are of the devil and are here to perform trickery, and lead people down the wrong path, but others declare that as we pass from this life, our sprit can remain earthbound.

It is unclear whether earthbound spirits can see and hear the world around them. Some are able to interact with the living, but many require the assistance of a psychic or medium to communicate.

Reasons for remaining earthbound vary, probably due to the life circumstances at the time of death. It is believed that the majority of earthbound spirits remain out of choice. Some may be confused souls seeking assistance in reaching the afterlife or have unfinished business that they feel must be completed before passing to the next realm.

Here are some reasons spirits remain earthbound:

1. Refusal to accept death

2. Waiting for…

3. Guardianship

~~~sorry! Can’t give it all away! If you want more, come on out to the Expo. If you are interested in ordering a DVD of my last lecture, please send me an email and I’ll connect with you. psychicintegrity@gmail.com
Blessings to you.
Kids Seeing Sparkles: Questions and Answers on Fear
There have been so many responses to my first two articles about “seeing sparkles” that I felt  guided to write this further information. As the conversation continues, more information is brought out. And I see other areas that should be addressed concerning this newly recognized phenomenon.
If this is your first time searching SPARKLES, then be sure to read the other posts I have made. They are listed just below here… ** Be sure to read all the comments that follow too, because the readers have other great information and experiences that just might answer one of your questions! Thanks to all that have posted comments over the past year, you have been so much help in this endeavor.
1.  My first article called Children Seeing Sparkles addresses the first email I received regarding this fascinating subject. Start your quest by reading this aticle:  http://thegobetween.wordpress.com/2010/07/04/children-seeing-sparkles/
2. This second article called The Truth about Seeing Spirited Sparkles is an earnest attempt to give more information and an expanded view of it. Please read it too:  http://thegobetween.wordpress.com/2012/01/19/the-truth-about-seeing-spirited-sparkles/
As I said, if you are really looking for information regarding Sparkles, then be sure to read all of the comments with both articles, before you ask any questions.
Please realize, that I am not an expert on this subject. But I am learning very quickly about the different aspects of it, and hope that I am able to help you understand, even if in only a small way, what might be going on.
FEAR: This particular article is based on some questions that have come in dealing with fear about the sparkles: either by the children seeing them, or by their parents. Bear with me as I explain somethings that might help.
Understanding Energy
Basically, energy is simply energy. Energy is always energy. Energy can take the form of many different things: clouds, houses, people, Jello,  even  thought forms. It also can be the way those in the spirit world show themselves  (such as with Sparkles).
Here is an example of how we sometimes view energy: If someone comes into your house, and you feel strange and uneasy around them, then you usually will say, “There’s something wrong with that person,” or “I get a bad feeling around him.” It depends on how we feel about the person as to whether we think it is good or bad. This is only a judgment. It is not how the energy is. It could be that the vibration of that person is just different from yours, and that is why you feel something. But it does not mean that the person is bad.
The same thing can be said about other things in life, such as sparkles. The reason I say that is because our younger children have a difficult time relating what they see or feel to us. Their experience is still very limited to find references for this situation. So, if they have seen a scary movie, or ghost story, then they know the feeling of fear. It is a quickening, or tense feeling. Perhaps, the sparkles are connected to spirits or angels. But if there is no reference to that, then “ghost” might be what they say and believe. So, something that originally did not present itself as negative, becomes scary. Of course, this might not be the case for everyone. But I see this in many situations.
Empowerment
Now I want to talk about being empowered in these strange situations. In the physical world, we teach our children to be safe, and how to protect themselves. Example: Your child might be at school playing on the playground with other kids. A man comes up and says scary things to the child. You teach you child ahead of time to stay away from them, and to say “Go away, stay away from me.”
The same is true when dealing with spirit energies of any kind. They may be positive spirits. But they seem scary to your child. Or the sparkles might expand, and show themselves all the time. It might get out of hand, and frustrating. Sometimes, children remember the scary movies and relate what they see to something negative. Then their imagination can create more of it. It is real to them. (I have to say here, that once in a great while, there can be a real negative energy. But that is very unusual. The more common thing is that the sparkles, or situation, is confusing, or misunderstood. And the child doesn’t really know how to react to it.)
Talk to your child about being powerful, just like the scenario about the playground. Each person is “in charge” of what goes on around them. You have a say so, wheather you want to be around good energy or bad energy. So your child needs to know that they are empowered to be in charge of that. Even if it is good sparkles, if your child is scared of it, or just doesn’t want it around them anymore, they should be able to do something about it.
It is important to be nice and calm. Your child can say something like, “I don’t want to see you sparkles at night anymore. Go away now. Leave me alone.” They should say it very firmly, but in a nice way. If the child is too small, then the parent can help. But remember not to be agressive or angry about it.
Through conversations with others, I have found that children usually out-grow the sparkles. At least, they become less intense. I think it has to do with being involved with the worldly things of life. Other chilodren embark on a wonderful connection and relationship with the sparkles. This would be similar to converstations with angels or spirit guides, which I consider normal.
Other Information
I am in the process of creating a resource list of websites, books and videos that might be of use concerning this. If you know of a good reference, be sure to comment here so others can benefit too. This list will be posted in a few days, so you might want to register to my blog and get an email when a new post is available.
I hope this has helped you in some way. Right now, it is the journey of figuring this all out. And I am honored that you have joined me in it!
Blessings to you and your experiences with Sparkles!
